Privacy Policy for LinkedIn Cleaner

LinkedIn Cleaner is a Chrome extension designed to enhance your LinkedIn experience by hiding "Suggested" and "Promoted" posts from your feed. This Privacy Policy explains how the extension handles data. Spoiler: it’s pretty simple—we don’t collect any!

Data Collection and Usage

LinkedIn Cleaner does not collect, store, or share any personal data from users. The extension works locally in your browser to:

• Access LinkedIn webpages (https://www.linkedin.com/*) to identify and hide "Suggested" and "Promoted" posts.
• Use the activeTab permission to run its content script on the active LinkedIn tab.

No user information (e.g., profile data, browsing history, or interactions) is collected, stored, or transmitted to any servers. All processing happens within your browser.

Permissions

LinkedIn Cleaner requires the following permissions:

• activeTab: Allows the extension to access the current LinkedIn tab to run the content script and hide unwanted posts.
• Host Permission (https://www.linkedin.com/*): Enables the content script to operate on LinkedIn webpages.

These permissions are used solely to provide the extension’s core functionality and do not involve data collection.

Third-Party Services

LinkedIn Cleaner includes a link to a Buy Me a Coffee page (https://buymeacoffee.com/dlotz) for optional donations. If you choose to donate, Buy Me a Coffee’s privacy policy applies to any data you provide there. LinkedIn Cleaner itself does not handle or store donation-related data.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will post the new version at this URL and update the “Last Updated” date. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting.
